Genuine Wound Badge in Silver in very good condition with great details and with the original box case,manufacturer '4' Steinhauer & Luck from Ludenscheid.The Wound Medal was a German military decoration first issued by Wilhelm II, German Emperor, on 3 March 1918, originally awarded to soldiers of the German Army who were wounded during World War I. Between the world wars, it was awarded to members of the German armed forces who fought on the Nationalist side in the Spanish Civil War, 1938–39, and received battle-related injuries. In September 1939, Adolf Hitler reinstated the decoration, with the most significant change being the helmet. Second class because he was wounded three or four times.
