The Infantry Assault Medal was a German military decoration awarded to soldiers of the Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht Heer during World War II. This decoration was established on 20 December 1939 by the Commander-in-Chief of the German Army, Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch. It could be awarded to members of infantry and Gebirgsjäger (mountain infantry) units who had participated in infantry attacks, with light infantry weapons, on at least three separate days of combat on the front line from 1 January 1940 or later.
Genuine miniature in excellent condition, 16 mm with its original silver color.
